Bali is always a good idea ☀

Hallo ihr Lieben,

leider kann ich auf meinen vorherigen Blog nicht mehr zugreifen und da ich vor 2 Wochen nochmal auf Bali war, schreibe ich einfach nochmal alle Tipps hier auf. Ich war jetzt tatsächlich 3 mal in knapp einem Jahr auf Bali und es war auch definitiv nicht das letzte mal, dass ich dort war.

Bali ist für mich schon fast wie ein zweites zu Hause. Ich habe inzwischen einige Einheimische Freunde und freue mich immer wieder die Leute, die ich dort kenne wieder zu sehen.

Als ich im März dort war, hatte ich leider einen kleine Unfall, da ich überfallen wurde.. Bali hat ein paar negative Seiten, definitiv! Da der Tourismus immer größer wird, steigt aufgrund der teilweise ärmlichen Verhältnisse auch leider die Kriminalität.. Das ist natürlich absolut kein Grund nicht hin zu fahren! Bali ist trotzdem super schön und eine Reise dort hin lohnt sich. Ich hab hier einfach nur ein paar Tipps für euch, die euch schützen könnten. Benutzt NIE euer Handy während ihr Roller fahrt. Mir wurde 2 Wochen nach dem Überfall, bei welchem ich ’nur‘ vom Roller gefallen bin dann noch das Handy geklaut.. Wir waren auf dem Weg zurück nach Canggu und ich wollte navigieren, während der Fahrt ist jemand an uns vorbei gefahren und hat mir mein Handy einfach aus der Hand gerissen. Das passiert vermutlich täglich auf Bali.. also passt auf eure Handys auf dem Roller auf.  Wenn ihr es unbedingt benutzen müsst, versucht es so dicht wie möglich am besten vorne an euch ran zu halten.

Wenn du ein Mädchen bist und nachts doch mal alleine fahren musst, trag immer einen Helm! Am besten pack deine Haare einfach in den Helm rein und pack dir eine Jacke in den Roller, die du dann anziehen kannst damit deine Schulter bedeckt sind. Erfahrungsgemäß werden nämlich eher die Mädels überfallen als die Jungs. Außerdem hab NIE eine Umhängetasche um.. die werden super oft abgerissen während der Fahrt. Ich weiß, das klingt heftig aber ich habe leider etliche Leute getroffen, denen das passiert  ist. Pack deine Tasche einfach in den Roller rein oder unter die Jacke drunter. Am besten ist es natürlich nicht alleine zu fahren. Das hört sich jetzt vermutlich erstmal alles total schrecklich an aber ich kenne auch einige denen sowas noch nicht passiert ist und Bali ist trotzdem eine Reise wert. Lies einfach weiter und schau dir die Bilder an, dann weißt du warum 🙂

Wenn du Lust auf Urlaub hast, Zeit hast aber vielleicht gerade keiner deiner Freunde Zeit für Urlaub hat, kannst du auch einfach alleine nach Bali fliegen! Bali ist zum backpacken super aber auch zum Urlaub machen. Auf Bali wirst du super schnell neue Leute kennenlernen und nie alleine sein! Ich war das erste mal dort, nachdem ich mit einer Freundin in Thailand backpacken war. Mir haben super viele Leute Bali empfohlen also hab ich dann spontan einen Flug von Thailand nach Bali gebucht. Ich war direkt begeistert! Es hat nichtmal 10 Minuten gedauert und schon saß ich bei einem Mädel aus meinem Hostel auf dem Roller und sie hat mir die Gegend gezeigt. Außerdem gibt es auf Bali super leckeres Essen und das dazu noch echt günstig!

Places to go. 1.  -> Canggu! ♡

Es ist schon fast ein bisschen traurig, da in Canggu echt immer mehr Touristen sind. Das erste Mal als ich da war, waren super viele Plätze nur halb so voll mit Menschen und es war etwas entspannter: Trotz alledem ist Canggu immer noch mein Lieblingsort auf Bali und definitiv ein Ort wo man sich super entspannen kann aber auch echt gut Party machen kann.

Unterkünfte in Canggu :

1. LayDay Surf Hostel
   Das ist vermutlich einer der verrücktesten Orte die ich kenne 😀 Absolutes Party Hostel mit den besten Mitarbeiter! Ich habe meine meiste Zeit vermutlich dort verbracht. Es ist immer was los, man lernt super schnell Leute kennen und alle gehen zusammen aus am Abend. Mittwochs gibts eine meist legendäre Poolparty und die Dorms sind auch super gut.
2. Canggu Surf Hostel
   Dort habe ich auch eine Weile verbracht und habe meine Zeit dort sehr genossen. Dieses Hostel ist ruhiger aber man lernt trotzdem super schnell Leute kennen. Die Pools sind definitiv sauberer nur die Räume sind nicht ganz sooo sauber wie im LayDay Hostel. Aber vollkommen ok für ein Hostel. 🙂
3. Point Breakers 
   Dieses Hostel ist nah am LayDay. Ich habe dort ein paar Tage verbracht, da das LayDay, wie tatsächlich sehr oft, ausgebucht war. Aber ich habe meine Zeit dort sehr genossen und das Badezimmer ist riesig und echt sauber für ein Hostel. Tagsüber habe ich oft dort entspannt und bin dann abends rüber zum LayDay gefahren.

das sind die Hostels, in denen ich die meiste Zeit verbracht habe. Es gibt aber etliche mehr!

Donnerstag: Pretty Poison

weitere Clubs, die nicht weit entfernt sind  (15 Minuten Fahrt)

Gute Restaurants in Canggu:

5. la pan nam (super günstiges und leckeres Essen)

10. Deus (Taco Tuesday -> Gratis Tattoo wenn du einen Taco kaufst)

Im Deus Cafe sollte man Dienstags allerdings früh genug da sein, da nur 24 Leute tätowiert werden können. Viele warten schon ab 16 Uhr dort. Start 18 Uhr. Ich habe mir dort 2 Tattoos stechen lassen und die sind beide echt gut geworden!

Places to go. 2 -> Uluwatu! ✿

Uluwatu ist unfassbar schön! Dort gibt es einige Klippen wo es super ist den Sonnenuntergang anzuschauen und auch traumhafte Strände.

Unterkünfte in Uluwatu: 

Ich bin meistens nur für Tagestrips dort gewesen. Einmal war ich für 3 Nächte da und wir haben uns einfach mit ein paar Leuten eine Villa gemietet, was sich echt lohnt! Die Villen sind hammer schön und echt günstig wenn man sich den Preis teilt.

Party in Uluwatu:

Sonntag: Single Fin

Omnia (Super schöner Platz zum entspannen für tagsüber, ab und zu sind dort Partys mit recht bekannten DJ’s)

Lieblingsplatz in Uluwatu: 

Karang Boma Cliff (Sonnenuntergänge sind dort unfassbar schön anzuschauen)

Places to go. 3 -> Ubud ஐ

Unterkünfte in Ubud:

Ich war erst einmal für ein paar Nächte und habe ehrlich gesagt den Namen des Hostels vergessen. Ich glaube es war das smile Hostel, bin mir aber nicht zu 100% sicher. Das war auf jeden Fall ein super Hostel. Ich empfehle euch aber fast ein Bungalow zu nehmen vor allem wenn ihr zu zweit seid. In Ubud gibt es traumhafte Bungalows und Hotels. Ich habe meistens aber auch einfach einen Tagestrip von Canggu nach Ubud gemacht und bin mit dem Roller gefahren.

Orte die ihr auf jeden Fall besuchen solltet in Ubud:

2. Ubud Market
3. Campuan Ridge Walk
4. Tegalalang Rice Terrace
5. Pura Tirta Empul
6. Tibumana Waterfall (nicht weit von Ubud)
7. Jungle Fish (Infinity Pool im Jungle)
8. Mount Batur (Sonnenaufgang)
9. Tukad Cepung Waterfall (nicht weit entfernt von Ubud)
10. Kanto Lampo Waterfall

Außerdem gibt es super viele schöne Inseln um Bali herum. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall für ein paar Tage rüber zu fahren! Wenn ihr interessiert seid an einem Blogpost über einige der anderen Inseln, lasst es mich gerne wissen 🙂

Hey,

I’ve been to Bali two weeks ago and want to share my favorite spots with you. I’ve been there 3 times in the last year and for me it’s almost like a second home right now. I just love this place! The vibe and the people are just amazing and I probably had the best time of my life there so far. I have some local balinese friends and some who are just living there for a while, so it’s always nice to come back to visit them and to meet some new people.

First some tips for your safety. Seriously, Bali has also got some bad sides.. which is not a reason not to go there! It’s because it’s getting really busy and some of the people have poor living conditions. It’s really sad because the balinese people are lovely. They are super helpful and friendly and because of all the things which are happening, most of the people are scared. I’ve been to Bali in March and got attacked by some locals while I was driving the scooter. They probably tried to steal my stuff. They drove next to me and touched me everywhere, I was pretty shocked and fell off my scooter while I was driving. It was horrible and I was super scared because I was alone and no-one was around. And I met a lot of people who got robbed as well. Anyway Bali is amazing still! It’s just a warning for you. If you are driving a scooter, NEVER use your phone!!! Two weeks after my accident, my phone got stolen because I was navigating on the back of the scooter. Someone passed us and just grabbed it out of my hand.. so just never use your phone while you’re driving. And if you have to just do it like no-one can see it. Haha you must have a bad feeling about Bali right now but it’s worth it to go there! Just keep reading and you will know why.

So if your driving at night always put your important stuff IN the scooter!!! Don’t keep it in your bag. And if you’re a girl. Wear a helmet and even better, put your hair in the helmet. Its also a good idea to keep a jacket in the scooter which you can wear on the way back so that your shoulders are covered. This time in Bali I was super careful, just in case.

Now I want to write something about the good stuff in Bali, which is definitely more than the bad.

It’s so nice because you’ll meet a lot of amazing people and you’ll just have a great time. My first time I went there alone but I was never alone! So if you’re bored and you have some time, go to Bali. I promise you’ll have an amazing time. Also the food is amazing! Like you probably know there are all the smoothie bowls and avocado on toast and it’s super cheap! Driving a scooter in this beautiful nature is such a lovely experience, I love it! If you’re up to party it’s an awesome place but also if you just want to chill.

It’s actually a bit sad because Canggu is getting quite busy. But it’s still the best place to go! I love it. Canggu is definitely my favorite place and all the times I’ve been in Bali I almost just stayed there. We did a couple of day trips to other places, which is pretty easy with the scooter if you are a safe driver. The traffic in Bali is super busy!

Places to stay in Canggu :

1. LayDay Surf Hostel
   If you want to party, this is definitely the right place! There are some really good parties going on and everyone is going out together. During the day you can chill at the pool or grab some food at the restaurant which is at the hostel.
2. Canggu Surf Hostel
   I stayed there for a while as well and the people are super nice! This Hostel is a bit more chill and also a really nice place to stay.
3. Point Breakers 
   Quiet Place but nice people and really nice bathrooms for a hostel. I really enjoyed my time there.

9. Deus (free tattoo at Tuesday if you buy a taco)

If you wanna go to Deus for the free tattoo you should be early. Just 24 people can get a tattoo and some of the people starting to wait around 4pm to get on the board. Start to enter your name is around 6pm.

Places to go. 2 -> Uluwatu! ✿

Uluwatu is beautiful! A lot of cliffs and also nice beaches. It’s a bit more chilled than Canggu and not that busy.

Places to stay in Uluwatu:

I went there for a lot of day trips and the time I stayed there I just rented a villa with some friends. You should just find a group of people, which is pretty easy in Bali, and rent a villa there. It’s super cheap to share it and also really nice!

Places to party in Uluwatu:

Omnia (Amazing place to chill durning the day and there are actually some good parties sometimes)

Favorite place in Uluwatu:

I’ve already stayed there once and to be honest I forgot the name of the hostel. Might be the smile hostel or something like that. But in Ubud are a lot of nice bungalows and amazing hotels!

There are also a lot of amazing islands around which are actually more beautiful than Bali and not that busy. Bali is the best place to meet people and to socialize! But it’s worth it to visit some of the other islands for a couple of days.
